Take part in the Challenge using the free digital access at your library

All public libraries in South Australia offer free access to PCs and WIFI – so get down to your local library with family and friends and take the Challenge.

Want a bit of guidance?

Some libraries are running Commissioner’s Digital Challenge programs

If you would like some guidance to complete the Commissioner’s Digital Challenge, many South Australian libraries are offering after school Challenge sessions or school holiday Challenge programs.

The following libraries have registered to run Commissioner’s Digital Challenge after school sessions and/or school holiday programs in 2020:

Are you a librarian?

There are two simple ways public libraries in South Australia can support the children in their communities toward digital empowerment:

Libraries can run their own Challenge program

Key Dates

The Challenge commences on 28 January 2020 and closes on 25 September 2020. All programs need to take place within this period.

Programs can be offered in the Term 1 or Term 2 school holidays or after school.

Certificates

Libraries running programs are asked to encourage all individual participants completing the Challenge to submit their Challenge Completion Form by 25 September 2020 to receive their Certificate of Achievement from the Commissioner.

Children completing the Challenge who are Scouts or Guides can use their certificate to claim their Space to Dream badge. Further information is available on the Scouts and Guides pages of this website.

Designs submitted by 25 September 2020 will also be considered for inclusion in an exhibition to the public at MOD Museum of Discovery. A selection of designs will also feature in the Commissioner’s Virtual Gallery.

LIBRARIES CAN REGISTER TO RUN A PROGRAM HERE

Libraries wishing to run a program are asked to register. Registration is free and takes less than one minute. Libraries can register here.

Once registered:

  1. The library will show up on this website as a participating library.
  2. The library will be sent the exclusive ‘Official Commissioner’s Digital Challenge Destination’ Seal to display in their library and on their social media.

Libraries can promote the Challenge using our free material

Even libraries not running a Challenge program in 2020 can support digital empowerment by printing and displaying or sharing any of the free Challenge promotional material:
