Complete the Challenge – earn your badge!

If you complete the Challenge outside of school, and are a Guide in South Australia, you will automatically earn the limited edition ‘speak Robot’ fabric badge.

Each Guide completing the Challenge is entitled to a maximum of one ‘speak Robot’ badge.

If you are already completing the Challenge at school, you can do it again outside of school as many times as you like.

What’s the ‘speak Robot’ badge worth?

The ‘speak Robot’ badge may be credited towards the following Guide challenges:

  • Create a Challenge
  • Explore a Challenge
  • Discover a Challenge
  • Achieve a Challenge
  • Junior Baden Powell Award
  • Baden Powell Award
  • WAGGGS programs

How to receive your badge

To receive your ‘speak Robot’ badge, please present your certificate (which will be emailed to you after you submit your completed Coding Record online) to your Guide Leader before 17 October 2022.

Guide groups are encouraged to facilitate sessions with older Guides guiding younger Guides through the Challenge in small groups. Individual Groups have complete freedom in how this is done.

Ready to take the Challenge?

Step 1

Choose any four activities. Click here to visit the Challenge activities.

If you don’t know where to begin, check out the Guide for Beginners.

Step 2

Once you complete your four activities, please submit your completed Coding Record.

Please submit this form by 30 September 2022 to meet the Challenge deadline.

Step 3

You will be sent a certificate by email when you submit your Coding Record form online.

Please show this certificate to your Guide Leader to claim your badge. You can show them the certificate on a screen, print the certificate or forward the email to your Guide Leader.
