The Early Learning Unplugged Challenge Activities were created with the Australian Computing Academy and align to the Australian Digital Technologies Curriculum and Early Years Learning Framework Principles.
The Activities
There are 2 activities to choose from (or do both!).
When a child has completed either activity they have completed the Challenge.

CREATE A DANCE
YOUR ROBOT DANCE
Children are challenged to create their own dance routine for the Commissioner’s robot, Cody Buttons using 6 basic dance moves.
This activity teaches children patterns and data representation
along with algorithmic and sequential thinking.
Your ‘Download & Print’ Activity Pack contains:
- Instructions
- 2 X copies of 6 X basic dance moves (2 × A4 sheets)
- Blank dance card to attach your chosen dance moves to
- Advanced option – jointed model to create customised dance moves
- Customisable Certificate of Achievement from the Commissioner

PLAY HIDE & SEEK
ROBOT HIDE & SEEK
Children are challenged to find the Commissioner’s robot, Cody Buttons, in their playground or home. This activity teaches children the basics of algorithmic and sequential thinking.
Your ‘Download & Print’ Activity Pack contains:
- Instructions
- Cody Buttons (who will ‘hide’ in 4 different places)
- ‘Colour Me Cody’ for child to decorate and track progress
- Set of arrows for adult to direct child to hidden Cody Buttons
- Customisable certificate of achievement from the Commissioner
